Tank Cleaning using High Pressure

tank cleaning services photo

Clean-Co Systems automatic tank cleaning technology removes deposits including hardened materials from tank internal walls at pressures of up to 40,000 psi. The units operate using the power of high-pressure water so no other energy sources or extra cleaning materials are necessary. The wide range of Clean-Co's nozzles with various lengths and shapes enable the cleaners to be used with many applications. Units can be fitted with one or two arms.

Clean-Co Systems can provide service to clean tanks or vessels using oxygen (or O2 for Oxygen cleaning service) or technician driven robotics.  Learn more about our expanded capabilities for chemical cleaning using oxygen.

Because entry into vessels can be tricky or hazardous, we use 3-D water blast nozzles on our multi-phase Hydroblaster that can eliminate the need to "go in". This technology rotates two jets of water at 90 degrees to each other, to fully clean an entire vessel. This makes the job site far less complicated because there is no need for a hole watch or to have rescue personnel on standby during the operation. When an entry is necessary, the perfect technology for surface tank cleaning is the SPIN JET®, which makes quick work of removing a buildup of the residue of your product; and it can hydro blast away coatings and linings.

Tank Cleaning Texas PhotoThe nozzle arms rotate due to the reaction force of the water jets emitting from the nozzles mounted at each end. This rotation motion is transferred via a built-in drive and reduction gear which in turn, rotates the cleaner around its axis. By rotating on two axes, the water jets can reach all parts of the tank interior. The speed of rotation is controlled by an adjustable induction brake magnet.

Tank Cleaning Using Robotic Dredging

Hydraulic robot with Auger attachment

Our robotic industrial tank cleaner has cutting-edge technology including intrinsically safe performance, providing benefits that are unique to the conventional methods of industrial tank inspection or sediment removal.

Clean-Co Systems is dedicated to doing our part in accelerating the industry’s transition to safer solutions that protect the environment and our workers.

Our technician driven robot device can work in hard to reach areas (operating in areas up to 240 ft from the command center) with chemicals or obstacles that would be dangerous to humans. The command center is located in an air conditioned trailer that provides shelter and comfort to our operators. This state-of-the-art robot is designed to efficiently cut through sediment without causing unnecessary turbidity.

Robotic Tank Cleaning Command Center

Clean-Co Systems robotic device is composed of a complete stainless steel structure with hydraulically driven rubber tracks, a quick connection system to its hydraulic source, and a video inspection system.

Advantages of a robotic system:

  • Considerable reduction of costs for cleaning operations
  • Increase of productivity
  • Reduction of plant downtime
  • Simple operations within hazardous and confined spaces (no man entry, live conveyors, pipes, culverts, tanks, carts)
  • Reduction of manpower
  • Safeguard worker's health
  • Used in Steel Plants, refineries, mining operations
  • Operates in tunnels (2.6 ft in diameter or greater)

Our high-tech high-end addition to the tank cleaning line of equipment is our explosive-proof robot.  This high-pressure capable robot (from 10,000 to 40,000 psi) operates off of a series of explosion-proof batteries (1 charge lasts about 24 operating hours) and can be positioned by a crane onto racks or can be driven into a tank. Rubber tracks help to stabilize its crawling ability. The nozzle device articulates to reach those tight spaces or crevices.

Before & After Photos of Industrial Tank Cleaning:

Our clients are often interested in the demonstrated power of our Multi-Phase Hydroblaster.

On one recent job site, it was deemed far too unsafe to use a torch to cut into an oil tank, and so cutting of a twelve-foot square hole was accomplished using high-pressure water to make the incision. The steel plate was an inch thick! This is a real-world example of the safe cutting technology that can be used on tank cleaning including removal of coatings, polymers, scale, and fouling.

CleanCo Systems has proven to top industrial companies that our patented, intensely high-pressure process is superior to other techniques for tank cleaning. Our operators and technicians consistently prove they make safety a priority while delivering quality, efficient tank cleaning – zero injuries in five years! That's because our crews boast an average of five years of experience, with training and certification in hydro blasting and vacuum truck and pump operation. The supervisor we send to oversee your project has passed 30+ hours of OSHA training.

Our firm has earned a top EMR rating from the insurance industry. We are committed to compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations governing workplace and client safety. We back up our crews with an investment in the latest technology and equipment for safe, superior tank cleaning.

Clean-Co owns and maintains a full variety of tank and pipe cleaning equipment for industrial applications.

Our Hydroblast equipment and pumps can deliver liquid safely at high velocity and pressure to remove the most fouled, rusted, and coated metals. Large-diameter pipes and bends are efficiently cleaned with our rotating hydroblast devices. See the information on our nozzles and equipment at RHD Pipe Cleaning.

Robotic tank cleaning services are used solely or in combination with other methods to provide the safest and most efficient return to service for your operations.
